Snow Ho! It's Yo-semite!

Hey Readers,

Here's everything you ever wanted to know about our trip to the wedding of Sean Taylor and Kim McDaniels. By the Way, please excuse the momentary self-absorbedness, as when you are about to uproot your life a put it back down on the opposite freaking side of the globe, it tends to turn your attention inward.

Had a great time in CA, Sean and Kim are good friends and a classy couple. The wedding at Tenaya Lodge (view from our room above right) was b-e-a-utiful. It snowed almost two feet on friday and saturday, and several guests had trouble getting in - we arrived right before the snowing got bad. Mostly, we hung out the hotel restaurant and bar in between tobogganing with Anibal and Lisa and ice skating with Lisa, Katie, Mark, Russ, and Lena. Good fun, but being a Texan I forgot how sore you can get sliding, flipping, and climbing a hill again and again. And it might just be our last look at snow for awhile as Qatar is not exactly known for its wintry scenes.

Our friend and Erin's former co-worker "Scottish" Chris performed the wedding ceremony (he got certified online), and by all accounts did a fine job. He even got a few laughs, but it was weird to see someone we identify as a drinking buddy act as the officiant. He did great.

There's something about getting the Bako bunch girls together that just makes them want to boogie. Then again, maybe it was the shots.
