Not that Interesting- We now own a blue mat

Before I forget- we started Wynne on solid food this week. She's currently eating rice cereal with applesauce and last night, tried sweet potatoes. She loves to eat. We'll have to post a picture. What moved the plan forward was that Laurie said she still seemed to want more after her bottle feedings. It's somewhat of a nuissance though since the bottle is full for each feeding. We'd have to make more than one bottle at a time or buy bigger bottles... or start her on food. Right now she just has solids at dinner time.

As I type this, I'm watching Wynne sit on her new play mat, squealing and trying to figure out the best way to reach for a toy just out of reach. Or maybe she's just stealing up the courage (now that she's mostly stable, she doesn't like to lean too far). She somehow snagged it. Anyway, the point of this was that we lucked out today in our errands. We've been meaning to look for some large foam rubber mats for her to play on. Seeing as how our floors are marble- they're not baby friendly, especially now that she's constantly fighting gravity. Sometimes gravity wins... Until now, she's been sitting on piles of blankets and/or with a helper (me, Steve or Laurie) within arm's reach. Anyway, we bought 6 mats that are about 4 feet square. Should give her some room to crawl eventually!

How precious she looks. Happy you are feeding her solids. They have a way of telling us that they are hungry and after seeing her tackle the mango peel she wanted more. Anyway, the polkadot pads? are real colorful and having the padding on the floor sounds just what the doctor ordered. She certainly looks happy. Peg
