Uncle Sam, oh How we Miss You!

I would just like to pass along some friendly advice to all of my friends and family: DO NOT MOVE DURING TAX SEASON.

I'm not aware of any tax implications, but the night before the movers arrive, you will be trying to scrape together all the misplaced tax documents before they get packed away for two months. Your spouse will lose patience with you and hide in the only other room with a TV. It's not pretty.

In better news, after a mere two hour wait for the dealership owner, we sold our faithful Pathfinder, Azeez bin Azeez.  The highlight was watching Steve count out the cash- yes, we were paid in cash (that we now need to get a check for- who wants to travel with that!) We did feel kinda bad for Azeez- we don't think his life is going to get better with his new owner.

An update on the move- as mentioned, packers come tomorrow, they load on Tuesday and on Thursday we're off to Oman for the weekend. It's a beautiful country and since I have a work meeting to go to, we thought we'd make a weekend of it! We get back on Saturday night and Monday night, we're homeward bound!

Our taxes are a headache too, since all our documents were a mess from the move up until a few weeks ago, Mav was filing at the last minute (like usual). And boy was he cranky and anxious throughout the process, avoidance is a good thing in these situations! Thank god the BP portion is done, now he needs to figure out how to add 1.5 months of the new company's earnings. Fun stuff.
