Add another thing to the list of "not universal" things: brewed coffee.
As I mentioned earlier, our office kitchenette has a wide assortment of instant coffees, teas and Tang. There is also a coffee pot and someone brewed a pot of coffee this morning (they may do that every morning but maybe I didn't notice). I poured myself a cup, eager for non-instant coffee. I'm going back to instant. It's awful. On a related note, we have a lot of difficulty finding non-instant coffee at the stores (ground or whole bean). We have a little can of "Maxwell House" but we're going to have to start buying directly from Starbucks. Oh yeah, they also have instant espresso which I don’t dare try.
